Biography

Mr. Olson is experienced in all phases of business and construction disputes including:  planning and advising on how best to avoid those disputes; drafting contracts with solid dispute resolution and other substantive/procedural clauses; analyzing contracts for ways to prosecute, defend, or resolve disputes;  preparing, presenting and defending claims; devising creative extra-contractual ways to resolve disputes; negotiating and mediating disputes; and trying cases in court, before arbitrators and administrative tribunals; and handling appeals.

The primary clients in his career have been public owners on large-scale public works projects, but he has represented private owners, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and sureties as well.

Bob enjoys all forms of active sports including tennis, golf, hiking, back-packing and road biking.  He is proud to have completed RAMROD, the 154 mile Ride Around Mt. Rainier in One Day, five times, but has recently decided to focus now on shorter rides.
