Mr. MacDougall’s practice focuses on commercial litigation and disputes, with significant experience in complex litigation, construction litigation, and matters involving contractual, premises liability and personal injury issues. Mr. MacDougall has represented a diverse range of clients, from a Fortune 100 company to small family-owned businesses, and has defended a large number of cases, ranging from commercial high-rise construction defect to wrongful termination. Mr. MacDougall also has experience representing companies in federal and state courts, and before state administrative agencies, in cases involving employment, real estate, landlord-tenant, land use, consumer protection, product liability, insurance, toxic tort, maritime, railroad law and FELA issues.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. MacDougall worked for many years as outside counsel for a national railway company, providing counsel on a wide variety of legal issues to local company management and employees, as well as representing the company in federal and state courts and administrative hearings in Washington and Oregon.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Mr. MacDougall worked for a few years as a real estate analyst and property development coordinator for a national developer, owner, and operator of senior living communities. Mr. MacDougall has lived his entire life in the Pacific Northwest and, in his free time, enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, traveling, cooking, and coaching his kids’ youth sports teams.
