Colleen A. Cody has been an Associate Attorney at Schlemlein Goetz Fick & Scruggs, PLLC since the firm was established in January 2012. Prior to joining the firm, Colleen was a legal assistant to Michael P. Scruggs at Scruggs Law Offices, where her focus was primarily on personal injury litigation. Colleen also worked as a legal intern for two years at the Law Office of Kenneth F. Bromet and Lisa K. Clark, where she performed a wide range of tasks, assisting the attorneys in every stage of divorce settlement and other family law matters.
Colleen was admitted to the Washington State Bar in December of 2011. A Seattle native, Colleen earned her Juris Doctorate from Seattle University School of Law and her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Washington.
During law school Colleen studied in both Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Limerick, Ireland. Colleen also volunteered with the Northwest Women’s Law Caucus and the Immigrant Detainee Justice Project and was a competitor in the Regional Mediation Competition after placing second in the Seattle University Mediation Competition.
During her free time, Colleen enjoys running, yoga, cooking, and spending time with her friends and family, including her two year old Cockapoo, Max.
